PostSubject: Hedgie Inquiry   Sun Oct 07, 2012 4:56 am

(excitement as a newbie)

i know hedgies are not sociable animals, but being bought as a pair na magkasama na sila (i may or may not plan on breeding them), should i continue keeping them together since di ko rin sure if they already mated or not.

note: both of them are 1 year old.

i've noticed that my female hedgie is mostly sleeping, lying down or inactive. she's also more nervous while my male hedgie is always on the move. are these signs normal for them?

Thanks in advance Smile

im not familiar with breeding, but im almost there Very Happy

Pansin ko naman sa trio hedgies ko, sadyang antukin yung females while sobra naman ang likot ng male and they are very active at night specially after 12, dahil nga they are nocturnal.. nilalabas ko nga sa kwarto, di ako mkatulog e ahaha

So sa gabi ko tlga pinupuno kainan nila..

sa taming naman, i use superworms as treats. nakakatuwa rin kasi na hinahabol tlga nila yung worms hehe

Good Luck breeding them drinks

question po ulit, nahulog ung male hedgie ko last week dahil sa tatay ko haha.. i think napilay ung both hind legs nya. he's recovering and kinda walking normally na. though napansin ko na prng mas kuba siya than usual and naging medyo inactive na siya though malakas parin naman siya kumain ng dog food (alpo) at uminom ng gatas (pediasure) pag feeding time na. feeling ko gumaan din weight niya, naiiyak tuloy ako huhu. parang ang weird din ng quills niya di ko mapaliwanag Sad

sensya na dami kong tanung Sad

Minsan hirap ng mabuntis ang mga hedgies na more than a year old kung mabuntis man sila minsan nag kaka defect ang mga anak. Kaya mas advisable na imate sila from 6 months to a year old. Good Luck
